Buses from Phuket Airport with Bus Routes and Times

It takes ca. 1 hour and 45 minutes to reach Phuket Airport with one of the official government buses, full-sized orange buses, that leave from the main bus station Terminal One in Phuket City and from Patong, Kata and Karon Beaches. The fare per person is around 100 TBH. Buses run between the hours of 6.30 am and 9.30 pm. Passengers can buy their bus tickets at the bus station's counters, and at the airport at the counter that is located near the terminal exit.

Phuket Airport is located ca. 32 km distance from Phuket City. A slightly more expensive service is available via shared minibus, which costs roughly 10 TBH more for a single trip.

The buses also link resort destinations Patong, Kata and Karon Beaches with the airport. Cream-coloured buses with blue stripes stop at the northern end of the terminal. They run hourly from 7.30 am onwards and cost 150 TBH from Patong, and 200 TBH from Kata or Karon Beaches. On these buses passengers can purchase tickets directly from the driver.

An alternative is to pre-book a shared minibus, limousine or taxi service, which is more expensive, but provides you with a door-to-door delivery in comfort. The orange express buses are often very crowded and offer little space for your luggage, let alone passengers.
